    Job Needs and Characteristics

    The DevOps Engineer is a key role within the Infrastructure business to enable our guest's journey. You should have in-depth knowledge of container and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, Amazon ECS, AWS Fargate, and others.

    The Experience DevOps Engineer will work alongside the Incident Management Team through the process of tracking, managing, and solving incidents that interrupt the guest experience. This will include collaboration with Carnival Corporation (CCL) for defect management in OCEAN™ Medallion experience business solutions.

    As an Experience DevOps Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic team and play a visible role in supporting and implementing cutting-edge technology with other industry-leading partners in a 24/7 capacity. If this sounds like you, please send us your resume.

    Qualifications

    • DevOps experience
    • BS in Computer Science or similar degree with equivalent industry experience
    • Expertise with Docker containers and orchestration platforms, including, Kubernetes, or Swarm
    • Familiar with the DevOps concepts and aspects
    • Experience producing multi-tier, high-availability infrastructure architectures in a cloud environment
    • Outstanding critical thinking abilities and interpersonal communication skills 
    • 3 - 5 years of experience in all aspects of cloud computing (infrastructure, storage, platforms, and data) with a proven track-record implementing in large scale environments.

    Responsibilities

    • Design, install, configure, and maintain Docker Swarm, Kubernetes, Cloud Native tools, CentOS/ Red Hat Enterprise LINUX) servers
    • Oversight of critical incident and major system escalations from initiation to resolution
    • Provide installation and configuration of operations and maintenance of systems, as well as related infrastructure for assigned development commitments
    • Work with developers, designers, and architects to ensure configuration and custom components meet application requirements and performance goals
    • Daily monitor server resources and verification of software throughout each development cycle
    • Ensure security is integrated into all solutions developed 
    • Fix any defects and performance problems discovered during testing        

    Salary range is up to 80k - 100k based on skills and past experience.

    Qualifications

    • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant field
    • 5-10 years of Database Administrator experience

    Responsibilities

    • Analyze data and identify gaps such as data buildups or clusters, bottlenecks, slow queries that could impact the guest experience 
    • Maintain and assure data integrity and the health and service functionality of the data structure
    • Actively monitor existing databases
    • Improve the process for data sources and strategies by rearchitecting solutions
    • Provide daily support for existing database solutions, including modifying, testing, validating, and documenting system changes
    • Participate in day-to-day system administration including performance tuning, system monitoring, problem investigation, and optimization
    • Assume database administrator role for projects as designated by supervisor which may include: analyzing user needs and creating a proper database design to meet those needs; installing and configuring new database environments and upgrading existing database environments.
    • Collaborate on creative problem-solving issues with various teams 

    Salary range is up to $120k based on skills and experience.
